Update on Callie

Adoration, tonight, 7-8 pm, SAA Church. All who wish to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament are invited to attend!
--------------------------
I just spoke with Callie's Mom; the surgery went well, thanks be to God. She is listed as 'critical' and is not out of the woods yet by any means. The first 48 hours are the most urgent. Please keep praying for her and her family. I told her Mom that we were praying for them, and she said it brought her tremendous comfort. Thank you!

There was a song at Adoration tonight with the phrase about, "You walked thru fires of hell for me, so I can be holy." I think I finally understand all the emotions that have welled up at different points during both Masses and Adoration. I want to be, but I don't understand how to be holy.

A prayer for all mothers who are praying for the health of a child, especially Callie's mom.

From the Mother's Manual-

"Holy Mother, health of the sick and constant aid of those who pray to you, please speak with me to your divine Son. He showed himself loving and merciful in healing the afflictions of the body, as well as those of the soul. Pray with me, then, that my child may regain full health and bodily vigor; and, with strength restored through your assistance, may he/she become more deeply aware of the goodness of God and understand better your all-embracing motherhood - and so glorify God and honor you by holiness of life and service of others.

Mary, sorrowing, Mother of all Christians,
Pray for us!

Remember the phrase, "What would Jesus do?" I think if we reflect on the answer(s) and then act on them, then that would be a small part of being holy.
Add to that what Jesus commanded,
"Do unto others....," "Love one another....," "Love they neighbor...," plus obedience to the Ten Commandments, and you have another part of what it is to be holy.
Receiving the sacraments, with an emphasis on the Eucharist and confession are also very important parts of being holy.
So, in order to 'be' holy, one must 'live' holy.
